Our 3 large service areas

Delivery & installation

Each buffer block is preassembled ready for installation, except for the guide claws and brake elements, which need to be fitted once the block is positioned on the track.

Also the track reinforcement can be supplied preassembled for braking buffer stops with additional brakes, which allows them to be directly placed on the prepared area. As a result, only short track closure periods are necessary for the installation.

Delivery or pick-up of the rail end blocks is by rail or truck, depending on the order.

Extremely short installation times can be achieved with our new braking elements.

Reconditioning, Maintenance & spare parts service

Reconditioning of existing rail end blocks and the delivery of spare parts for own reconditioning are possible both for the older and for the newer designs.

Rail end blocks are safety devices used in the railway industry. They can only function as intended when in perfect condition.

The following photos depicting the condition of a buffer stop prior to and following a collision are to show how crucial maintenance and repair of rail end blocks are. The high level of corrosion of the braking buffer stop with the tracks led to excessive stress on the buffer stop design and track distortion.

Calculation & project planning

The required calculations and planning for dimensioning and design of rail end blocks are carried out in our company. They are based on the design approvals of the Federal Railway Authority and the attendant technical agreements on our standardised rigid and braking buffer stops in cooperation with the specialist department of DB AG.
